My Kitchen Garden

I do have my own little kitchen garden where I try my best to grow seasonal produce. I love growing my own vegetables and fruit and have done for a long time. I was brought up with it from my grandparents and parents doing it. I am a great believer of the provenance of where your food comes from. I buy British as and when I can and try to keep things as local also.

It is a great satisfaction of mine that I can just pop out into my garden and produce a fabulous dish around one ingredient picked. I do try to grow as seasonal as I can. I don’t have a great deal of space so a lot is grown in containers or pots which you can grow many vegetables and salad leaves this way. I also try to be as frugal as I can by allowing vegetables to go to seed and then re using those seeds the next year. I also collect as much free seeds as I can from well known Gardening magazines.

At ChezJ9 I will try to include posts of my kitchen garden as it is just as important as the recipes.

If you would like to ask me anything on this subject, including trailing any gardening products please do not hesitate to email me at chefj980@gmail.com and I will try to get back to you within a couple of days.
